You should remove all images from your manuscript prior to placing your order for editing.
Your editor will only be editing the text of your manuscript, and we charge by the page for editing. So all images need to be removed to get you an accurate page count and price and to allow the editor to focus on the text.
We recommend you leave a placeholder for the image that references the image's filename. For example:
This will make it easy for you to add the images back in after editing.
Children's books and picture books
If you are submitting a children's book or other picture book for editing please include on each page a description of the image, along with the image placeholder text. The editor will need good context to understand how the text works with the images.
For Example:
Page 1 [page1image.jpg]:
Scene: A baby bunny and a baby turtle are standing in a school yard having a conversation.
Text:
Bunny: "I am light and fury and really fast. I could beat you in a race any day baby turtle."
Turtle: "Don't be so sure my good friend. I am steady and focused and have won many races against bunnies just like you."
