Amazon’s inventory management system algorithm may disable the purchase option for a book if they lack inventory to support it in their warehouses, leading to the absence of either the “Pre-Order Now” or “Add to Cart” button.
Please note: BookBaby’s printing capability is not the cause of this occurrence.
The delays occur between when Amazon’s Prime tractor-trailer trucks pick up the printed books from our distribution center, receives them into their warehouse and updates their inventory system to make the books ready for sale.
If your title lacks a BUY button, please notify us at support@bookbaby.com. While we can't expedite Amazon's inventory processing, we'll inform them about the button's removal.
We certainly understand and share your frustration with the absence of the buy button for extended periods of time, so much so that this was one of the primary reasons why BookBaby built the internet's most author-friendly fair-trade Bookshop where your book is ALWAYS available for sale!
During times when your book is delayed within the Amazon system it’s best to promote your BookBaby Bookshop listing as your recommended point of sale.
