BookBaby does not currently have an official policy around the use of generative AI in manuscript creation. You are free to use it however you see fit to help you write or illustrate your book. However, keep in mind that you are responsible for ensuring you have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use any content included in your book, and you will be asked to confirm this when you sign our Intellectual Property Rights Form and our Distribution Agreement (if applicable).
Please note that some of our distribution partners have strict guidelines around selling a book that was created using generative AI. After we send your book to distributors, they'll each conduct their own review of your content and will decide whether or not to carry your title. This decision is out of BookBaby's control and is entirely up to the distributor.
