Your manuscript may contain footnotes, which appear at the bottom of the page, or endnotes, which appear at the end of a chapter, section, or book. A manuscript should not contain both footnotes and endnotes. eBooks can only contain endnotes, not footnotes. If your manuscript has footnotes and BookBaby is doing your eBook conversion, we'll switch all of your footnotes to endnotes during the conversion process.
If you'll be including footnotes or endnotes in your manuscript and plan to use BookBaby's Interior Formatting and/or eBook Conversion services, it is important that you use your software's notes functionality to create the footnotes or endnotes. Using the built in functionality will ensure that the notes remain properly linked when we work on your book (whether during Formatting or conversion). You should consult with the support for your preferred software for help with adding notes.
